Dolffanog Fawr is an 18th century farmhouse offering luxury bed and breakfast accommodation (B & B) to hotel standard in the southern part of Gwynedd. Recently, it has been thoroughly renovated and converted into one of the finest small country guest house accommodation establishments in Snowdonia, North Wales. Alex and Lorraine offer the kind of hospitality and personal service in a B & B that is usually found when staying in a hotel. Our luxury bed and breakfast has four en-suite bedrooms in our country guest house are all furnished to an exceptionally high standard and have top of the range pocket sprung divan beds. All bedrooms have attractive views, three of which look out over sheep pasture to Tal-y-Llyn Lake and Cadair Idris, and the fourth has views across the front garden and bird feeders with the Tarren and Dovey hills beyond. No wonder we have people coming back to enjoy our superb bed and breakfast accomodation year in year out. During your stay at our luxury bed and breakfast retreat, you should make evening meals a central part of your stay with us as Lorraine is a wonderful cook and prepares superb meals using local produce including Tal-y-Llyn lamb, Welsh Black beef, Wild Dysynni Sea-trout and on occasions home smoked wild Mawddach salmon. We also offer other seasonal fish dishes including Black Bream and Sea Bass caught locally in Cardigan Bay. These are just a few of magic charms that makes our country B & B stand out from the rest. We firmly believe in offering value for money in everything we do, from our wine list to the meals we serve even to the bed and breakfast accomodation we offer. This is especially the case with our wine list, with over fifty different wines from around the world available, many at bargain prices.
